Keychron has launched a new full-sized entry in their affordable “C” line of keyboards, the C2 Pro 8K. The standout feature, besides the $65 price, is the 8kHz polling rate which promises very fast transmission of keystrokes to your computer, something that gamers may appreciate. Typically, polling rates this high are found in Hall Effect (HE) or more expensive gaming-focused keyboards.

The C2 Pro 8K appears to be available in just one color theme currently, as indicated by Keychron's website and the already-available amazon listing. It's hot-swappable and features south-facing RGB backlighting, a win/mac OS physical switch, and wired-only connectivity. The keycaps are double-shot PBT in their OSA profile, and as with other "C" line keyboards, the case is all plastic. One can't expect an aluminum case for $65, of course.
The switch options are Keychron's Super red, brown, and banana (tactile). Interestingly, the amazon listing also includes silent banana and silent red options which are not currently listed on Keychron's site. I placed an order for the silent banana option to do a full review, so stay tuned for that.
What do you think of Keychron's uber-affordable C line and their offering 8K polling?
